Assisted Living Nationwide: A Very Personal Reason for Starting the Company
Rick, like many of us, was faced with the problem of where his 80 year-old dad should live after his mom passed away. Within a three month period, his dad fell twice and was involved in a minor car accidents. He and his family knew then it was time to move him from the Providence, Rhode Island home where he had lived for over 50 years. After extensive research, tours and questions, Rick quickly realized that finding an assisted living facility was a complex – and frustrating –process.
After an exhausting amount of time, Rick found a residence that was perfectly suited for his father in a Boston suburb – a small, intimate assisted living facility, with beautiful grounds, caring staff and activities suitable for his father. His dad made a new circle of friends, keeping busy throughout the day. Rick and his family experienced tremendous peace-of-mind knowing his dad wasn’t alone; he was safe and happy.
This experience sparked Rick’s interest in senior living. For the past twenty years, he has gained expertise in senior housing, Medicaid application services, home and personal care, medical assessments and, most importantly, he works with thousands of assisted livings throughout the country.
How We Work
At Assisted Living Nationwide, we truly understand the emotional aspects of moving an elderly loved one into new surroundings. It’s a complex issue. ALN does everything possible to make this transition seamless and stress-free.
The process is simple but effective: families or seniors initially call or email ALN with requests. ALN will respond within 24 hours, obtaining background information including geographic preferences, health issues/support services of the senior; hobbies and interests, financial considerations and religious/cultural preferences. Then we do the work for you and assemble a list of all assisted living facilities in the desired area that meet all your criteria –and that have apartments available for new residents. The next step is for ALN to narrow down the options and present you with best, most appropriate three options. After client feedback, we will schedule tours, help assess the choices, answer questions/concerns and act as the liaison between the family and the assisted living facility.
Certainly our services can save you time, but it’s also important to note that we give you the foundation to make this very important decision. And we continue to stay in touch with you with after the move-in; we want to ensure you have a high-quality and positive experience.
